Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has backed Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce to stop the rot and turn their fortunes around. He says that Allardyce deserves more time before he is judged.
Wenger said to Arsenal TV Online: âIt is a bit harsh, but firstly I donât know if it is true and secondly I donât know what is really going on inside the club.â âBut if the speculations you talk about are true then as he has just been appointed it is surprising.â
âYou canât talk about them because you donât know exactly the atmosphere inside the club.â
âFor me Newcastle has big support every time you go up there and you feel there is a great potential within the club - of course, in order to turn things round you need time.â
