Man City monitoring Layvin Kurzawa

Kurzawa - a hot prospect in France

Man City monitoring Layvin Kurzawa

21 July 2014 - 07:25

Manchester City scouts have sent a glowing report to manager Manuel Pellegrini on French full back Layvin Kurzawa. The 21-year-old is currently left back for French side AS Monaco.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • Having just broken into the under-21 side of France, Kurzawa is widely expected to become the full French team\'s first choice left back for the next decade. At Monaco, former coach Claudio Ranieri has given the youngster plenty of game time in the first team and several top scouts have been watching the player in action.

Man City already boast a team with numerous options at the full back position, but there are doubts over the long term future of Gael Clichy at the Etihad Stadium; with Spanish and Italian teams both interested in his services.

Kurzawa is valued at around 8.5 million euros by Monaco.
