Manager Brendan Rodgers is renown for bringing in young talent since his days at Swansea, and has offered chances to the likes of Raheem Sterling and Jon Flanagan in the Red's first-team setup in recent seasons.

According to The Mirror, Rodgers is a huge fan of Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto, who is considered as a potential successor to Xavi.

In addition to this, the Merseyside giants are open to making a move for the 22-year-old. following his lack of chances in the first-team, despite being highly-rated by the Catalans.

Roberto has recently revealed his desire to stay at Camp Nou for the rest of his career.
