Liverpool are reportedly set to announce the capture of Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers this week, according to The Star.
The Reds had been in a two-way fight for the player in recent weeks, with Arsenal also keen on French international's signature.
However, the Gunners pulled the plug on the transfer due to the 27-year-old's high wage demands, thereby paving the way for the Merseyside giants to seal a deal for the French international.
The Star claims that the Hoops striker will fly to Boston later this week to agree on personal terms, with neither club having any issues regarding the prospective deal.
Remy will be Brendan Rodger's fifth signing, having already recruited the likes of Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Lazar Markovic, and Rickie Lambert this summer.
