  • Erik Lamela's first season in England proved to be very difficult as the Argentine battled with the physical nature of the Premier League and having to work under two different managers. In pre-season, Lamela has started to show his quality after scoring two goals in a friendly against Toronto yesterday.

Meanwhile Iago Falque is also set to be given a run in the first team. The attacking midfielder, 24, has been on the books at White Hart Lane for two seasons but spent last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano. He also spent four years playing for Juventus and also had spells at Real Madrid and Barcelona as a youngster.

Pochettino is reportedly very impressed with Falque's performances in training.
