European champions Real Madrid are reportedly looking to bring Rodriguez’s fellow Colombian Radamel Falcao to the Bernabeu on loan in a bid to bolster their attacking line.
After signing with Ligue 1 giants Monaco for £50 million last summer and becoming one of the most expensive players in world football Falcao endured an injury-plagued Ligue 1 season during which he contributed just nine goals to Monaco's campaign
He is also reportedly ready to take a huge pay cut to do so.
The rumours will come as a surprise to Monaco fans, to whom Falcao recently pledged his future for the upcoming campaign—as Daily Mail reported:
Falcao had said, “I believe in Monaco's project. I want to stay here and play Champions League football with Monaco.”
The French club may have to cope in the Champions League next season without their two star strikers but will be a lot richer after letting Falcao leave.
