Cardiff midfielder Medel won\'t be sold to Inter for cheap

Cardiff City will not let midfielder Gary Medel join Inter Milan on the cheap, just because the player wants to leave in search of top flight football. City's chairman Mehmet Dalman insists that Medel is worth at least 12 million euros.

An impressive World Cup for Chile saw the interest in Medel intensify and a request from the player to leave for pastures new means that Cardiff City are likely to part company with the experienced player.

"We are not going to take a loss on a player who was a World Cup star in Brazil. We have made it clear what our price is and that won't change," said Cardiff chairman Dalman.

Inter Milan have tabled a 7.5 million euro bid for Medel, almost half of what Cardiff are looking to recoup for the player.
