27 July 2014 - 10:32

Real Madrid are understood to have agreed a deal in principle with AS Monaco for Colombia international striker Radamel Falcao. The deal will see the striker move to the Bernabeu for a season on loan and then head off for a permanent transfer in 2015.

  • According to a report from Spain, Falcao has flown to Madrid for talks this weekend and Carlo Ancelotti's side will wrap up a deal for the forward next week. The arrival of Falcao will be Real's third major coup of the transfer window, having already agreed a permanent transfer for Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.

After one season on loan at Real, which will set the La Liga side back £10 million, the club are then able to agree a permanent deal for the striker. The full package will cost approximately £40 million.
