Manchester United are apparently hopeful of completing their third signing of the summer this week, according to The Mirror.
The new Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has shown keen interest in the strengthening the fragile midfield department this summer, following a dismal campaign for the club last season.
Juventus star Arturo Vidal has been strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford over the past month, but recent reports had revealed that the Mancunian giants had cooled down interest in the Chile international due to the high transfer fees demanded by the Serie A champions.
However, The Mirror claims that United are ready to get the deal done by this week, after the club's hierarchy agreed to pay the £35m asking price for the midfield sensation.
