Hannover rule out move for Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin

Chelsea's wantaway midfielder Marko Marin will not be moving to Hannover after the Bundesliga side confirmed that they have no interest in the attacking midfielder.

  • Marin, who spent last season on loan at La Liga side Sevilla, is reportedly looking for a return to his homeland and a number of Bundesliga teams have expressed an interest in acquiring him. Amongst those linked include Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen, but Hannover have dropped out of the race.

    "We have been looking to sign attack-minded players this summer and we are out to sign further players," said Hannover's general manager Dirk Dufner. "But we have no interest in Marko Marin, and we will not pick up an interest in him."

    Chelsea will sell for around 5.5 million euros and manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that there will be no place in the first team for Marin this season.
