Manchester United have reportedly made a formal offer for one of Netherlands' best this summer, according to a report.
AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong has been on the radar of the Red Devils over the past month, with United manager Louis van Gaal keen on sealing a deal for his services.
Van Gaal had a great relationship with the 29-year-old in the Dutch national setup, and this could play a fundamental part in to bringing the former Manchester City man back to the English top flight. According to Goal.com, the Red Devils have made an official bid of around £8m for the talented midfielder.
United have already completed the signing of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw this summer.
