France international striker Karim Benzema has signed a new contract with Real Madrid. The forward has signed a deal until 2019 and dedicated his future to the Spanish club in the face of interest from numerous top European teams.
It is understood that Benzema had been in talks with Real for over two months but finally decided that now was the time to agree a fresh deal.
The 26-year-old has penned a brand new five year deal.
A statement on Real Madrid's website read: "Real Madrid announce the extension of the contract between the player Karim Benzema and the club until June 30, 2019, the next five seasons.''
