Queens Park Rangers' manager Harry Redknapp will open talks with Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow regarding a move for French midfielder Lassana Diarra.
The defensive midfielder is wanted by QPR for the upcoming Premier League campaign as a replacement for Esteban Granero. Harry Redknapp has been unusually quiet in the transfer window so far this summer but is expected to spend big in the next few days.
Diarra, who played under Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth, is available for around 7.5 million pounds and is apparently ready to leave Russia in search of football in a top European league.
QPR are hoping to agree a loan deal for Diarra.
