Pulis quits Crystal Palace

Tony Pulis departs Crystal Palace

15 August 2014 - 05:30

Crystal Palace has been dealt a massive blow to their upcoming Premier League campaign preparations after Tony Pulis quit his job as their manager. Pulis enjoyed an excellent spell as head coach at the Eagles last season, keeping the club safe from relegation to the Championship.

  • It is understood that disagreements between Pulis and the board regarding transfer targets and spending appears to have been enough for the Welshman to quit his post after just 8 months.

Ultimately, Pulis' relationship with the Eagles chairman Steve Parish appears to have strained to the point of the coach announcing his departure and with just two days before the start of the Premier League season, and ahead of a tough looking opening game against Arsenal, Palace now need to find a replacement as soon as possible.
