West Ham have agreed a deal for 24-year-old Senegal international striker Diafra Sakho, who will be a replacement for injury troubled Andy Carroll for the first half of the season.
The Hammers had been linked with a host of new strikers but have instead opted to wrap up a deal for the Metz striker instead.
"This is a proud day to have signed for West Ham, I really love English football and I've dreamed of coming to play for one of the big English clubs," Sakho told the Hammers' website.
He joins Mauro Zarate and Enner Valencia as West Ham's new striking options brought in this summer.
