Manchester United’s latest signing Marcos Rojo is elated after joining the Red Devils and insists he will continue to work hard and improve as a player.
The 24-year-old moved to the Old Trafford outfit from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon in a £16 million move on a five-year contract yesterday in a deal that also saw Luis Nani joining the Primeira Liga club on a season-long loan.
And the Argentine World Cup star is delighted to have reached such heights and insists he is all set to work his way to success with Louis van Gaal’s team and hopes to win trophies with the Premier League side.
“I'm very happy as this is a big step forward in my career and it's amazing to be joining the biggest club in the world”, the defender told MUTV,
“I think the most important thing is that I keep growing as a player and keep improving.
“I have worked really hard for this opportunity and now I am at the biggest club in the world and I want to win trophies”, he added.
Manchester United finished at a lowly seventh in the league last season, and after already losing their first home game 2-1 against Swansea City last week, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they take on Sunderland on Sunday.
