Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly set to renew their pursuit for Wolfsburg holding midfielder Luiz Gustavo this summer.

The Brazilian international was constantly linked with a switch to the Gunners last summer, before he chose to join Wolfsburg.

According to The Mirror, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sent scouts to watch the former Bayern star in action during the weekend, as he searches for a holding midfielder to strengthen his squad.

The report also suggests that Wolfsburg are interested in Lukas Podolski, raising the speculation over a potential player-plus-cash deal.

Arsenal currently occupy fourth in the Premier League standings.
