  • Menez, 20, is an attacking midfielder but also has the versatility to play up front. In France, some have compared the youngster to the likes of Zinedine Zidane. Since joining Monaco from Sochaux in 2006 the number 10 has netted 10 times in his 41 appearances for the club.

Menez had spent 3 years at Sochaux, where he became regarded as one of the best young players in Ligue 1.

Since then, moving to Monaco has seen his stock rise and many are tipping Menez to shortly make a move into the full French international side.

The talented young midfielder was also coveted by Gerard Houllier whilst he was the boss of Lyon.
