Bayern Munich are interested in defensive midfielder Xabi Alonso, according to reports from Spain. The German club's manager Pep Guardiola is considering a raid on Real Madrid to bring the former Liverpool man to Bavaria.
It is understood that a fee has already been agreed between both Bayern and Real for the player and that Alonso, 32, will be flying to Germany for talks later on.
The decorated midfielder has always suggested that he would leave Real Madrid for one last challenge and the chance to link up with one of his idols, Pep Guardiola, will be hard to resist.
