Arsenal manager sorry for dismal Dortmund performance

Wenger not happy after 2-0 defeat

Arsenal manager sorry for dismal Dortmund performance

17 September 2014 - 07:40

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted he was not happy after a disappointing 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last night.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • The Gunners were in poor form in yesterday's encounter - the Gunners' third season out of four against Dortmund in the Champions League.

"We were a bit unlucky," Wenger quipped. "We conceded a goal just before half-time and just after. Then the game was difficult, but despite our very average performance, we had plenty of chances. That is the paradox of the night. We could have been leading the game. They as well had plenty of chances.

"We were not at the requested level tonight and Dortmund deserved their win."
