The talented Spaniard has a great outing with the Merseyside outfit last season, and was linked with a summer switch to the club.

However, Barcelona chose to send him on loan to fellow La Liga side Sevilla for the season. TalkSPORT claims that the Catalan giants are unhappy with the 21-year-old's lack of playing time at Sevilla.

The report adds that the Toffees are looking to seize on the opportunity by making an offer for the player's services during the winter transfer window.
