Real Madrid's legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas could make the switch to the Emirates during the winter transfer window, according to a report.

The Gunners have been long linked with a move for the Spanish goalkeeper, who recently reclaimed his place in Los Blancos' first-team.

However, it is believed that manager Carlo Ancelloti is open to the 33-year-old's sale this January, as he aims to provide a starting place to summer signing Keylor Navas.

A report from Le 10 Sport suggests that the Gunners could seal a free transfer for the veteran shot-stopper when the transfer window reopens in January.

Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco are also rumoured to be interested in the player's services.
