The highly rated midfielder is currently out of action through injury but that has not stopped Manuel Pellegrini from showing interest in the player.

The central midfielder was a part of England's World Cup campaign in Brazil and is expected to play regularly for his national side for many years to come.

Man City have already been speaking internally about a move for the player and it is understood the club will pay as much as 50 million pounds to wrap up a deal for Barkley.
