England international Daniel Sturridge has signed a contract extension to keep him at Liverpool until the summer of 2019.
The talented striker joined the Merseysiders from Chelsea in January 2013, and has since then played a major part in the club's progress.
Sturridge formed an excellent partnership with former striker Luis Suarez, as the Reds finished runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League last season.
The 25-year-old has now signed a long-term deal at the Anfield outfit, and described the day as one of the biggest in his life.
"It feels great," Sturridge said. "It's a big, big day in my life to commit to this club and to give the club my best years, which are ahead of me.
"I am thankful for the opportunity and that is the reason I committed my future. Everyone has been great with me, from the fans to the staff to the players, so it was an easy decision. I'm happy with how everything is going."
Sturridge is currently recovering from a thigh injury which he sustained while training for England last month.
