Barcelona have opened talks with Dani Alves over a brand new contract at the Camp Nou. The Brazilian defender has told club representatives that he wants to stay put.
The right back had been linked with a move to Italy; as Inter Milan and AC Milan were both amongst the teams ready to make a bid in the January transfer window.
However it is now understood that coach Luis Enrique wants to tie Alves down to a brand new contract and talks are well under way.
The 31-year-old will sign a two year extension to his contract in the coming weeks.
