Hull City boss Steve Bruce is understood to be eager to secure the services of Dundee United midfielder Stuart Armstrong, The Daily Record reports.
The Tigers landed the signature of left-back Andrew Robertson for a fee of around £2.85m over the summer, and are now keen on signing a second player from the Scottish outfit.
According to The Daily Record, Bruce sent his chief scout Stan Ternent to watch Armstrong in action over the weekend.
In addition to this, it is understood that a January offer could well be on cards for the talented midfielder.
