Roma owner James Palotta has revealed that Netherlands international Kevin Strootman will not be sold in the next transfer window.
The talented midfielder has been linked with a January switch away from the Capital club, with Manchester United believed to be keen on securing his services.
However, Palotta has dismissed the speculation by insisting that the club have no desire of selling their star asset in the near future.
"It is just not happening," He said. "I have told the papers that they should stop wasting paper. We don't have any interest in selling Kevin."
Club director Walter Sabatini had previously quashed rumours regarding the player's transfer away from Roma.
