Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has rebuffed speculation linking the club with a move for former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
Recent reports had revealed that the Reds were closing in on the signing of the talented shot-stopper, with a medical likely to be undergone on a short notice.
However, Rodgers has now hinted that the club are no longer interested in making a move for the Spain international.
When asked by Spanish sports daily AS on the potential transfer of the veteran star to the club, Rodgers said : "No".
Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table.
