Liverpool are believed to be monitoring the progress of Porto youngster Ruben Neves with a view to a January offer for his services, The Mirror reports.
The 17-year-old is widely considered as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, and has caught the eye of several high profile clubs over the past few months.
Serie A giants Juventus are regarded as front-runners to land the signature of the talented midfielder, but The Mirror claims that Liverpool have joined the pursuit for the teenager.
Neves has been capped thrice by the Portuguese Under-21 side.
