Brazilian international Alexandre Pato, who is currently plying his trade at Sao Paolo on loan from Corinthians, is believed to be open to a move back to Europe in January.

According to Italian agent Nicola Guiliani, the former AC Milan star is in tip-top condition having rebuilt his career over the past 12 months at Sao Paolo.

He adds that the 25-year-old is likely to be on the reckoning for the Brazilian national side in their next outing and this could play a huge part in the player's return to big-stage football.

Arsenal are understood to be monitoring the proceedings.
