Serie A side Napoli are considering a move for Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar, according to a report.
Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is believed to be keen on strengthening his team in all departments in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Naples outfit could try and sign the Netherlands international on a cut-price deal in the New Year, given his existing contract at Villa expires at the end of the season.
However, the Azzurri are likely to face stiff competition from England's top clubs for the player's services.
Vlaar joined Villa from Feyenoord in the summer of 2012.
