West Ham United are reportedly in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani, according to a Portuguese source.
The Hammers have had a great start to the season mainly due to the excellent form of striker Diafra Sakho. In spite of having abundant talent upfront, manager Sam Allardyce is understood to be keen on signing a new striker in the New Year.
According to A Bola, the Hammers representatives are in talks with Sporting over the potential transfer of Slimani during the winter transfer window.
Slimani has been in good form for the Primeira Liga giants this season, and has scored six goals in 10 league outings to date.
