Man City plot record swoop for Raheem Sterling

Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, according to The Express.

The 20-year-old is yet to sign an extension to his current deal at Liverpool, and this has attracted interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in recent weeks.

The Express claims that City are eager to make the most of Sterling's uncertain future at the Merseyside, and are willing to make a club-record bid of around £60 for the player's services in the winter transfer window at the earliest.

Sterling's current deal at Liverpool expires in June 2017.
