Swansea City are reportedly inching closer to the loan signing of Benfica striker Nelson Oliveira, according to BBC Sport.
The 23-year-old has made a solitary appearance for the Primeira Liga giants this season, after being shipped out on loan to French side Rennes last season.
According to BBC Sport, Swans boss Gary Monk is keen on signing up a new striker on a temporary basis in the New Year, with Wilfried Bony set to link up with Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to start in mid-January.
The report adds that Oliveira will make the switch to South Wales on a short-term deal in the upcoming transfer window.
Swansea are currently eighth in the Premier League.
