Southampton wrap up deal for Eljero Elia

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has agreed a deal for fellow Dutchman Eljero Elia. The winger will join from Werder Bremen on a loan deal until the end of the current season.

The Dutchman, who has played 27 times for the Netherlands national team, has always dreamt of making a move to England and now will have his opportunity to impress at one of the Premier League\'s upcoming sides. 

The 27-year-old has been brought in to shore up the Saints\' squad ahead of the African Cup of Nations.

\"If finally the player signs for Southampton I think it\'s a good option, we need at least one player up front because we will lose Mane in January to the Africa Cup of Nations,\" said manager Ronald Koeman.\"We need one player up there. It\'s a good option, he\'s a Dutch international. He didn\'t have such a good time in Germany but I believe in the qualities of the player.\"
