Arsenal could make a move for Everton midfielder James McCarthy in the winter transfer window, according to Irish Independent.
The Ireland international joined the Toffees from Wigan in the summer of 2013, and has played a crucial role in the club's midfield setup.
However, with the Toffees on a four-match losing streak and wins looking hard to come by in the near future, McCarthy could consider his options in the transfer window.
According to the report, the Gunners are keen on making an offer for the former Wigan star, but face competition from the likes of Inter Milan and Manchester United for the player's services.
