Frank de Boer turns down Newcastle United

Newcastle United's search for a replacement for Alan Pardew will continue after Ajax manager Frank De Boer rejected at move to St James' Park.

  • De Boer has reestablished Ajax as the Netherlands' best side and having been linked with some of England's biggest jobs in the past, has now admitted that in the future he will consider a move away from Holland.

    But, for the time being, De Boer has decided that he will not be leaving Ajax and has turned down a move to Newcastle.

    De Boer told Voetbal International: "I will stay at Ajax for the second half of the season, at least. If a good club comes in the summer, I will think about it."
