Arsenal are apparently heading the chase for Brazilian star Lucas Silva after Real Madrid pulled out of the chase for his services.
Silva has been constantly linked with a switch away from Cruzeiro last summer, with a host of top European clubs keen on acquiring his signature.
Real Madrid were considered front-runners to sign the 21-year-old during the winter transfer window, but Marca claims that the European champions are no longer interested in the talented midfielder.
The report adds that the Gunners are the only other club now eager to land the Brazil international and a fee in the region of £12m could be sufficient for the deal to go through.
