West Bromwich Albion are believed to be inching closer to sealing a deal for Wigan midfielder Calum McManaman, according to Sky Sports.

The talented midfielder has been on the radar of Baggies boss Tony Pulis over the past week.

Sky Sports claims that the Baggies have made a renewed bid for the 23-year-old having had their previous offer of £4m rebuffed by the Lancashire club last week.

The former Under-20 international has scored five goals in 23 games for Wigan this season.
