The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well known for his interest in top players from the French top tier.

Reports reveal that the North London outfit are keen on signing a midfielder at the end of the season, and consider Marco Verratti as their prime target.

However, it would cost them at least £40m to secure the player\'s services, with Les Parisiens unlikely to offload their star asset below his present value.

Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League.
