The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the French midfielder in recent months, with reports claiming that the talented star has agreed on terms over a switch to the Emirates at the end of the season.

It is now understood that the North London outfit will renew their interest in the Saints midfielder, as they are unlikely to beat Barcelona in the race to sign Lars Bender from Bayer Leverkusen.

Arsenal visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League later today.
