Barcelona midfield sensation Xavi Hernandez has reportedly agreed on a deal to join MLS outfit New York City FC next summer.

  • The Spain international has been linked with a switch to United States in recent months, and it is now believed that significant steps have been taken to conclude the deal.

    According to Cadena SER, Xavi's representative met up with the MLS side's officials at a restaurant in Spain to discuss the potential switch.

    Xavi, who is the most capped player in Barcelona history, is destined to join David Villa and Frank Lampard at the newly merged MLS club.
