Lukas Podolski has unfinished business at Arsenal

German international Lukas Podolski has hinted that he could still have a career at Arsenal, despite joining Inter Milan on loan at the start of the year.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The World Cup winner opted to join the Nerazzurri on a temporary basis last winter, having failed to earn regular first-team opportunities under manager Arsene Wenger.

However, the 29-year-old has failed to find the net in nine games for the Serie A outfit, and is expected to return to the Emirates having turned down a clause in his contract which would have allowed Inter to sign him on a permanent deal this summer.

"I don't regret joining Inter. I was the one who did not want a clause because now I can evaluate everything in the summer freely and make a decision then," He said.

"My chapter with Arsenal is not closed. I still have a year left on my contract and always got on really well with the guys and the fans."

Podolski has scored 31 goals in 82 appearances for the Gunners.
