Scottish champions Celtic are looking at the prospect of signing former England international Steven Gerrard on a temporary basis next winter.

Gerrard is expected to leave Liverpool for a switch to the MLS with LA Galaxy at the end of the season.

According to The People, the Hoops want to take the veteran midfielder on loan in early 2016 during MLS's off-season.

The 34-year-old is fit to face Swansea City in the Premier League having recovered from a hamstring injury.
