Recent reports have revealed that the Merseysiders are ready to wait until the summer before negotiating a new contract with the Jamaican-born winger.

However, The Mirror claims that City boss Manuel Pellegrini is plotting the club's recovery in advance, and will make a move for the 20-year-old during the summer transfer window.
