Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is reportedly open to the prospect of joining AS Roma at the end of the season.

The England international's current deal expires at the end of the season, and talks have stalled over a contract extension.

According to The Mirror, Johnson is unlikely to extend his stay at the Merseyside beyond the summer, with a whole host of clubs interested in landing his signature.

In addition to this, the former Pompey star is understood to be keen on a switch to Serie A with Roma.

Johnson has made 21 appearances for the Reds in all competitions this season.
