Southampton consider Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard as a potential loan target ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Norwegian youngster joined the European champions in January, and his performances for the Castilla side have impressed the coaching staff.

According to The Mirror, the Saints sent scouts to have a look at the 16-year-old over the weekend as they consider launching a loan move for the young midfielder.

Odegaard has made six appearances for Castilla this season.
