Chilean manager Manuel Pellegrini will remain at Manchester City next season, unless the club finish outside the top four.
Recent reports revealed that the former Malaga boss could exit the Etihad at the end of the current campaign, having seen City being knocked out of the Champions League.
However, The Mail claims that the Citizens will allow Pellegrini to see out his three-year deal, and will only sack him should the club fail to clinch a top-four spot.
It is also understood that the decision has come about as the Citizens are prepared to wait for Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola.
