The Spain international has been one of the stand-out performers for Atleti in recent seasons, and this has attracted interest from top clubs in Europe.

According to Metro, the Blues are favourites to sign the talented midfielder on a £44m deal, with Barcelona unlikely to offer competition, having had a transfer embargo placed on them until the New Year.

Koke has scored three goals in 31 games for Atletico this season.
