Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson has emerged as a surprise target for Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.
The England international is currently plying his trade on loan at West Ham United for the season.
According to The Mirror, Jenkinson may be forced to seek a new club this summer, as he is unlikely to earn the right-back role at Arsenal, with the likes of Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy ahead of him in the pecking order.
The report adds that the Reds are keeping tabs on the player's status and could be tempted into a summer move for his services.
